I enjoy my Chemex. I used Keurig and it was fast but not the best coffee I've tried. I decided to learn more about coffee and got interested in what I read about Chemex. There is definitely a learning curve in using it. I would suggest looking at the available videos on how to use Chemex. There is also an app that I use to determine watering times, it's called KoHi. You can customize the size of the cup you are brewing. I kept a little diary and rated how much I like coffee. I reduced it to 283 grams of brewed coffee, 17 grams of coffee beans. I use a bead grinder (love it) and grind on #25. At least for this coffee pod - the last pod took me 26 times. I've also found that I love medium roast coffee. I also went to the library and got a lot of books about coffee. I find the history of coffee fascinating. If you're looking for a good coffee book, check out Craft Coffee by Jessica Isto. I bought this book, it's a good reference book. The time required to prepare coffee has been reduced to around 10 minutes. It's worth it. So have fun with your purchase.
