I wanted to secure a great spot in the rear fender of my 16 foot Street Bob. After reading everything I could find on the Harley forums, I made my decision. I have trimmed part of the belt guard to leave room around the left fender, my scooter looks amazing and the fender is no longer irritating to the eyes. Make sure you fully compress the swingarm to 9 1/2 inches, which is the max height for these shocks, and trim whatever you can. The spring tension wrench is better than I expected. I highly recommend these dampers. .
