I actually bought this model and the 5 amp model (for my truck) but since I sold the truck almost 2 years ago I only use the 2 amp model for my motorcycle. I also have a 0.5 amp BatteryMinder a few years older that I use. I've tried both, sometimes leaving them on the bike for 3-4 weeks, and both worked the same way. makes it brilliant where 0.5 seems a bit weak and slow. One of the advantages of the Mroinge charger was its "water resistance" and I tested it to make sure. I ended up buying a new one because my expensive ($120) BatteryMinder, which can charge 4 cars at once, was damaged when it was submerged in a few inches of water during use.
