As a very specific niche device, it is assumed that the purchaser has good mechanical and machinist capabilities and understanding of the glass scale requirements. Other than online videos, there are no written installation instructions. The alignment and indicating needed to mount the scales accurately with no runout should be stressed more. If this is done carefully, the device works well and has checked out quite accurate against gage standards.
