Revainrating 5 out of 5

The board worked except for the weird display issue

READ BELOW: This board has an Intel i5-11600K, 32GB 3600MHz DRAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Everything has worked great so far. For the background I chose a slide show from a collection of photos. Immediately I noticed that some images were not displayed correctly: enlarged, too bright or split into horizontal parts. This happened in about 2 out of 5 images displayed. Tried a different monitor and connection (first was DP, second was HDMI) and encountered the same issue. Contacted Asus tech support via chat (contacted quickly and they were helpful) and accepted their recommendation to do a BIOS update. Unfortunately, the update did not affect the problem in any way. They then concluded that the board had a hardware problem. I wanted to ask Revain for a replacement board but they said they couldn't supply (?). So I decided to send it back. I also chose another manufacturer and ended up with a Gigabyte Z-590 Aorus Elite, the first of six home computers that I didn't use an Asus motherboard on. The new MBoard hasn't arrived yet, so no comment. I also note that Revain's text on the Asus z590-P mentions dual-band wireless and BT support on this board. These features are present in another version of the Asus Z-590, but not in this one. UPDATE: I got a Gigabyte motherboard, installed it and encountered the SAME graphics issues. Got into two extended tech support chats with Intel about their 750 integrated graphics I was using but couldn't find the cause. However, within a week the problem spontaneously disappeared. During that time I installed several programs but no Windows or Intel updates that I was aware of. The board works great now and I strongly suspect the same would apply to the Asus board. Return the 5-star rating for at least the excellent job of the technical support. Asus makes good boards and the Z-590 is no exception.
