Like many others I got fed up with those felt pads falling and then rubbing sticky mud on my wooden floors. I have 3 active little boys so I'm trying to find solid things. When they arrived they seemed too small for my chair legs but after I put them on they fit perfectly and worked so well. They can be a little tricky to put on and you may need some squish on the final lip to press it flush, but once that's done you're done. It's amazing how happy I am with these chair caps! They have a felt backing that allows them to glide smoothly across the floor without scratching them. They're solid enough not to fall off and they're invisible on my black chairs. Love it! I'm getting another set for my square bar stools so I can see how they fit.
