When I received the lamps I thought one was missing as everything was packed so compactly! I was relieved to find that the lampshades were neatly stacked on top of each other upon unpacking! Installation was easy and they look great even without the cable cover kit. Eventually I will close the cables, but so far none of my guests have mentioned open cables. I wish the wire was a foot longer so I have more room to play with. Also, I struggle to find lightbulbs that put out just the right amount of light as it can be glaring when you are sitting under your dining table and the lightbulbs are directly above your table. Maybe I'll get some foil bulbs later when I get a chance. Overall I am happy with my purchase! If you don't want to hire an electrician, this could be a good option for you.
