My 12 year foreman of this project after we worked on the "motherboard" assembly together and finished several layers of LEDs. Then he took over completely. As the instructions say, it's important to test each layer as you work, but having each layer glow properly is completely satisfying. When it's done, it makes for a nice flashing light (especially with upbeat music played through a small speaker via Bluetooth) in a room with appropriate activities (we play table tennis for ABBA). It's worth investing in a good soldering iron.
