I purchased the 16 channel system which came with eight RLC 410's plus four additional RLC-420's and one PTZ RLC-423's. All worked flawlessly for the first few weeks of use. There's a bit of a learning curve regarding nvr and the app, but it's becoming more familiar and easy, even for a caveman like me. for no apparent reason. Then I discovered that this happened when I turned off certain light switches in my house or when I touched the switches and static electricity jumped from my fingers to the switch. I contacted support who offered to ground the device, which I tried but to no avail. Then, during the elimination process, I discovered that only the cameras mounted on the aluminum ceiling in front of my house were causing the problem. I've tried grounding the reveal with my current, which didn't help either. Customer service offered to install a plastic panel between the cameras and the ceiling. I've concluded that mounting screws going through aluminum still allow electrical contact. I then mounted each camera on a small piece of plywood, making sure the screws didn't go all the way through the wood. Then I installed the plywood to the aluminum ceiling and insulated the camera from the ceiling. This solved the problem. Customer service was helpful but who knew that would be a problem? In general, if this problem is solved, I will be satisfied with the system.
