Review on Rubbermaid 712395886298 Square Storage Container by Rebecca Arrington

I bought these for making homemade ice cream. I love being able to eat an ice-cold portion straight from the freezer. In addition, they are ideal for treating "one more bite” syndrome. They're durable, more like "proper" storage containers than semi-disposable GladWare. (I love gladware, but they don't handle extreme temperatures with ice cream very well.) These Rubbermaid containers are strong and thick. I don't think they wear out quickly. My only complaint - and this is more of a general warning to other users than a problem for me - is that the covers are pretty darn difficult to remove. So on the one hand it's good. These covers are not removable. At least not with the batch I received. You can pour liquid in and shake and this lid will stay in place. But on the other hand if you are buying these for someone with arm mobility or strength issues I would buy something else. Lids can just be too much for them. Also, removing the lid requires a delicate balance between the force required to remove the lid (a lot), the leverage required (you really have to rip the lid off), and some restraint (if you do it with full force you'll end up loose launch content anywhere) . Some people may not survive the landing. (But so far the gold medals are in this house.)
