Review on ๐ŸŠ Enhanced Performance with Speedo Covert Mirrored Swim Goggle by Tyrazz Abouzar

Silicone pads don't provide enough suction, water leaks sideways

I expected the Covert to be an upgrade of the super-comfortable Speedo MDR 2.4, which has skin-tight outer lugs and soft but strong pads with excellent suction - no need for one super tight straps. However, COVERT, which also fits the outer eye and looks much slimmer than the MDR 2.4, is unfortunately a thinner version of the MDR 2.4: (1) Covert's silicone pads are too thin to provide adequate suction; (2) Outer eye design with a new "wide angle" but this causes the pads to protrude slightly beyond the eye socket and water seeps from the sides; (3) the strip thins out into round cords, like rubber bands, which are so elastic that it is difficult to create a snug fit, especially since cushions are non-absorbent; (4) Finally, the nosepieces slide out easily and the goggles are always halfway - maybe it's a problem with the front closure, but there are too many new components that degrade this model in terms of performance, comfort and reliability.
