This toothbrush holder can hold toothpaste and both parts (if you take it apart) of a rechargeable toothbrush (I have a Sonicare E series) in two large areas. I place the toothpaste and the bottom of my Sonicare in a large circular area; and I put the tip of the Sonicare in the middle, second largest area. As it's magnetic it will stick to the ground and then tip over if you don't set it up properly (this isn't a holder issue) so I placed mine in a separate section and oddly it doesn't seem to tip over in those middle parts. The smaller four square holes are too narrow for any rechargeable toothbrush, but they work great with regular toothbrushes or the larger GUM brushes your dentist can give you.
