I've always worn rolled leather collars on my corgis. This prevents their fur from breaking and minimizes collar marks. It had a crease that made it difficult to zip up, probably because it was rolled up tight. It lasted a few weeks but the curls disappeared with use. The collar is slightly larger than expected. It seems to fit a little loosely around the neck, but my dog's neck is quite thick and he pulled his head out of the collar a few times. Next time I would go for a tighter fit.
