I heard about the swedish kitchen towel trend but didn't try it until I got this item. There are 12 in the pack, 2 of each of the 6 colors so it seemed like a good deal. I am pleased to report that this is the case. When they come out of the box they don't look very good. They are stiff and feel too small (I usually use standard size tea towels). However, they work very well when wet. They are no longer hard and clean very well. I actually like them more than kitchen towels due to their slightly spongy texture. I used them to wash pots and pans, clean the stove and dishes. They work well for all applications. I wasn't sure if I should wash them. I only washed them once. However, they came out well. I must say. I'm a newly converted Swedish dishwasher!
