It's surprising that this screen is so subtle on the Revain. I had to do a lot of research to find it. I figured my needs were simple: I'm migrating from an old iMac to a new Mac Mini, so I needed a display that offered all-in-one functionality like an iMac: speakers, microphone, camera. Surprisingly there are few screens that offer this, at least in my price range (i.e. not $1000 for a 5k screen). The few others that tick those boxes have 1W or 2W speakers, and all reviews say they're as good as having no speakers. This Dell screen has 2 x 5W speakers. Granted, they're still not great. They sound okay, but not too much bass, and the volume doesn't crank up to get really loud. They will not rely on them using the screen as a home theater ie. if you want them to fill the space. But if it's just me sitting in front of the computer, they're great for music, movies, or gaming. The camera and the microphone are excellent for their purpose, for example to chat via Skype. Screen/Picture Quality: I'm not a graphics pro or avid gamer, but as far as I can tell the picture is good - no issues. The price seemed reasonable to me for what you get. Incidentally, I bought it directly from Dell. Connecting the display to the Mac Mini was easy. The Mac Mini requires an HDMI cable, which was not included, so I had to purchase one separately. Also note that you need to connect the USB download cable (supplied with the shield) in addition to the HDMI cable. This allows access to four on-screen USB ports: two slow-speed, hidden ones on the back of the screen that are ideal for connecting a keyboard and mouse, and two convenient USB 3 ports on the left side of the screen that are located excellent for connecting . B. on memory cards, etc. without having to reach into the back of the screen or the back of the Mac mini. Another word of advice: when I initially connected the display, it was impossible to change the volume, either from the Mac's native sound controls or from the on-screen volume buttons. I noticed that the volume icon in the Mac desktop's top menu bar provides access to a drop-down menu where you can select your audio output device. For some reason this listed the Dell screen twice; When I selected an entry that wasn't previously selected, the volume controls became available (both in macOS and via the on-screen buttons).
