Unreliable mouse made worse by iCUE software

Revise this review; in less than 3 weeks it got worse. I'm an IT specialist. My computer is reliable; I have uninstalled and clean installed all associated drivers and software to fix these issues but they persist. I searched in vain for answers almost every day. I went to Corsair support and manually reinstalled the onboard mouse driver. The side thumb buttons are a constant problem. On a given day they work too: don't work at all only when iCUE is running or closed, but never needing to remap both double clicks on each single press, and using the right buttons requires using the left ICUE mode, which also Main replaces it by clicking L/R. In addition, the scroll wheel now creaks after 2 weeks of use. Corsair accepted my RMA but won't ship a replacement until they receive mine, so I'm buying another brand. This mouse felt great and I was happy to be bundled under the Corsair brand with just one RGB program but it was a huge pain and I would be going back to my cheap 5 year old CM Storm in no time.

Pros
  • Gaming mice
Cons
