I bought this as a present for my wife. The design itself looks beautiful and the natural wood finish is aesthetic, but contrary to the product description, it's too thick to use for stud earrings. Maybe if you just hang hoops or something, but this was bought because of the description for ear studs and it is definitely not suitable for that. upset. I'm extremely stubborn though and since it was cheap I figured that instead of returning it I'd try sanding it down to a usable thickness, but I'd be surprised if I didn't break it if it doesn't work very hard. Update: It completely fell apart when I tried to shave it off. I would have to shoot a lot to get what I wanted.
