I hope there wasn't a policy where I couldn't bring back the stupid filter. Luckily

This is a true story. On 10/17/15 I spoke to a Sears representative and explained to him that I needed a new HEPA filter for my Kenmore progressive vacuum. The rep found the part number: KC38KCEN1000 and I ordered the filter (single) for $36, only $45.81 with tax and shipping. It looked expensive but I figured that was the price I should pay for a genuine Sears part. When I received the filter I was stunned. Thin cardboard, smooth, should cost $5 (max $10). After a few minutes of staring at the filter in disbelief and muttering something to myself, my son suggested I check out the Revain. Of course Revain has it all, I just thought these filters were "special". I don't know what I searched for, but actually the SAME filters turned up, THREE for $8. A kind reviewer listed sizes that exactly matched the filter I received. I immediately packed my only filter and submitted an online return form to Sears, mailed it in and waited, hoping there was no policy that I couldn't return this stupid filter. Luckily my refund turned up (minus shipping and tax, of course, if I think about it) and ordered it from Revain. They appear exactly the same. I don't understand how Sears could in good conscience charge ten times more than is reasonable. I think it's because of stupid people like me buying from them. Well, I haven't bought from them often, but I will never buy from SEARS again. Thanks to the kind reviewers and thanks to Revain.
