Review on πŸ”Œ Auxiliary Adapter Moonet USB AUX in Car Digital CD Changer for Honda Accord Civic Odyssey S2000 City Ridgeline CRV Element Pilot Fit by Trey Michaels

Revainrating 4 out of 5

4 stars for refund, 3 stars for good sound quality base but noticeable high frequency tuned to

Similar to what the other reviewer said, I hear a noise change in engine speed. The sound quality is pretty damn good so I'm happy, but at high speeds there's a mosquito high frequency that's tuned by the car's RPM. So if you crank it up or speed it up, the pitch will increase. I remember seeing a grounding issue in a comment on a similar adapter. I'll try to find it and update if I find it. But for now it shouldn't be a problem with this product but if not everyone can hear it maybe it is so little or I have young ears and can hear those frequencies. Update 1: I found the article I was talking about. It's a "Ground Loop Isolator" http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EAQTRI/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so it's only $10 so I bought it , installed and let you know how it worked worked. It's clear from the comments that most people use it with Aux FM transmitters, but we'll see. Update 2: The ground loop isolator I bought did nothing but dampen the high frequencies in the music a bit, not the engine noise. When I have time I locate the Honda wiring harness ground pin and connect that wire and ground it to one of the four screws holding the radio in the hope that that will ground it. I'm a mechanical engineer, not an EE so just a shot in the dark. Update 3 7/22/2015: I tested USB music for the first time (I always use my phone for music) and the engine doesn't whine. with USB and sounds great, just like Aux should. I was tempted to contact the seller even though their "guarantee" had long since expired. same problem with noise. Since the product itself has a bad ground connection, I tried putting any wire into the harness for grounding and then tried connecting it to the radio chassis, but this showed no noticeable change. The seller said I could return it for a refund so I would be returning an extra unit they provided me. I'll probably be using this for a while as I'm too fed up and will either buy a new adapter or a new deck altogether as some adapters are around $100 and I can get a deck with built in AUX and USB for around that price can . I've uploaded an image which is a spectrogram showing how I rev the car, there is a noticeable step between 8-14kHz depending on the RPM and here is the video where the sound comes from (you can follow the step with the picture) https://youtu.be/cwcN7KSAXQkUpdate 5 09/01/2015: After a failed attempt with the product, I contacted the seller and they asked me to send it back, but they sent me an invoice, no prepaid label . Instead they offered to refund my money for a 5 star rating. Morally I think the review is for the product, not the seller, but as you can see I've changed the title to reflect that. The money was refunded, but the goods are still bad. However, I have an additional adapter. I'll either try to find this ground point for my wiring harness or if anyone reads this and is interested, pay shipping and I'll send it to you for you to try for yourself. Update 6, 2015-06-10: Someone replied to my YouTube video with comments (https://youtu.be/cwcN7KSAXQk) how to fix the problem. Now I'm speaking to an electrical engineer and cable technician at work to fix the problem!
