Such a great kit. The box contains everything you need: filler, needle, thread, fabric, glue, beads. There is no need to buy anything as everything you need to complete this set is included in the box. Each project comes pre-cut and pre-packaged as this is a small kit. So you don't have a giant rag trying to figure out which piece goes where. Instead, there are separate packs with everything you need, except pearl jewelry, to create each project. The instructions in the book were clear with a very short illustrated tutorial on the different stitches required to create each set. I got this for a 9 year old who can totally do it himself. With younger children, this depends on the ability of the child. My 6 year old daughter who is very dexterous and good with her hands needed help to start but was able to do the stitches after being shown how to do it. Craft kit for girls and boys
