When I first tried it, I plugged the 12vdc cord into the car's power supply and was quite impressed with its suction power. Effortlessly picks up dog hair, road dirt and sand. There was a very noticeable drop in performance when I unplugged it, but I knew it was intentional. The cord is long enough for easy reach of the front and rear seats, and for those outside of that reach, the battery really does last. I also really like how easy it is to shake out and clean dirt. Another big plus is the indicator light. I have another rechargeable vacuum and it's impossible to tell if it's fully charged or almost empty. Nice to know when it's full to avoid overcharging. I am very happy with it and it will have a permanent home in my car so I can clean anywhere.
