Excellent replacement part

I usually order Delco OEM parts for my 2002 Tahoe LT. When the left rear caliper needed replacing I compared OEM 172-1611 to Professional 18FR1591. Although the Professional has been redesigned, it includes a new air vent, copper washers, hardware and mounting bracket. In addition, it comes with new pins lubricated, installed and tightened to specification. As if that wasn't enough to convince someone to order the caliper, Delco is offering a $60 discount after it's released. The discount is a very simple process where you obtain a Fed-Ex shipping label and return the core in its original Delco packaging and place it in a Revain shipping box. Pins, copper washers, fasteners and mounting brackets. The stock caliper has a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty and the remanufactured caliper has a 12 month/unlimited mile warranty. Another plus of the restored caliper. Professional 18FR1591 was ordered and appears to be an OEM part. All clips, with the exception of the anti-rattle device, were pre-installed. Ensured the torque on the pins was correct (30 ft/lbs), installed the anti-rattle clamp, lubricated all clamps and swapped and lubricated lightly used ACDelco 171-659 brakes from the old caliper to the new. Be sure to apply red or blue Loctite (your choice) to the caliper bracket bolts and torque to approximately 85 ft/lbs. While everything is disassembled, I highly recommend changing the caliper hydraulic hose, which is what I did. Once everything is reassembled, bleed the caliper until all air and nearly clear fluid comes out of the caliper. With this replacement caliper you have a solid pedal and the brakes work great.
