Review on Baofeng UV-82/UV-82L Black 🔌 Original Desktop Charger for Radio by Tori Williams

So I recently moved and somehow managed to lose the charger and base for one of my UV-82 radios . Although I still had one, I knew I needed another as a spare (one-no, two-one). Found this "original" desktop charger from Revain at a good price. He arrived right on time. Then I tried it on one of the real radios. It didn't fit - the hole in the charging station was slightly larger than one of my actual original charging stations. No matter what I did, I couldn't fit the radio in well enough to plug it in and charge the battery. At this point I feel kind of ripped off. But I slept in and tried again the next day after carefully inspecting the genuine original charging station and this "genuine" charger. I first noticed that there are tabs on the sides of each cradle that fit into slots on the sides of the radio (actually the battery pack) to hold it firmly on the cradle. So this time I put the radio in place, making sure the grooves on the radio actually lined up with the protrusions on the sides of the base. Lo and behold, he came and worked! It actually works and is very similar to the real thing once you understand how it should work and use it correctly. Although the hole in the base of the charger is larger than the original itself, it works fine when used properly. Lesson learned. So I checked if this works with a radio with the battery installed (both standard and high capacity). I also checked that it only works with one battery (both standard and high capacity. Works. I decided to remove one star just because the description says 'Original', although technically it is is NOT exactly the same as the real original base charger although the model number is the same.Yes I am picky but that's what reviews are for.If it's not perfect then it's not 5 stars.Bottom line it's a good product and good value for money and it proved once again to me that you are never too old to learn something new.
