I have been using this flashlight 24/7 for over 3 years with no problems. Tank 24 inches deep 50 gallons. Plant growth is a little slow at this tank depth, but conscious placement (avoid shade and overgrowth around, say, my Anubias) ensures moderate growth. Note: I'm not picky about algae on the walls of my aquarium; I prefer to keep the nitrates under control. Keeping the light on 7-8 hours a day slows the growth of algae significantly (I have about 10 hours a day). , vibrates enough for a low tech tank, enough light for a deep tank to keep plants alive. Cons: Brackets don't snap and don't slide easily, manual full light to blue control **Koval has a dim timer for this light. Dimmer for aquarium LED lighting Koval" and you will find it, albeit not on Revain. I ordered it from the Koval website and will update this review if it actually works. The 36" 129LED unit is listed as one (of many) compatible units.
