My son is 46 inches tall and quite proportionate. His pants are a size 7. These are soft cotton shorts, a shorter version of pants. My son is 46 inches. tall and well proportioned. He wears a size 7 in pants so I ordered the same size in shorts. While the pants were the perfect length for him, the shorts are actually longer, falling about 1-2 inches below the knee. The trouser legs fall straight. These are soft, comfortable and colorful shorts but I only gave them four stars instead of five as I find them a bit overpriced for regular kids shorts.
