I have a Mac Pro 3.1 from early 2008. I installed a Sonnet Temp card with a new 1TB Samsung SSD and the boot drive with Carbon Copy Cloner on copied the new SSD. I then changed the boot drive in the system startup settings to a freshly installed SSD. The operating system boots to the new SSD drive and everything works great. The best part is the increase in performance. The computer boots up in a flash. You definitely need to breathe new life into your old Mac Pro. I also installed a Sonnet USB 3.0 card to use the new WD 4TB as a Time Machine backup drive. Your products are great! Love it!
