Multiple buyers. Overall a good company! The attached picture is not true (much higher resolution)

This is my fourth Annke DVR (three houses) and my eighth product from them. All in all, these are solid products. I would suggest buying a high end DVR (16ch) for the first time if you can afford it. So you can expand your coverage without having to upgrade. If price is an issue, they offer units (8 and 16 channels) without a hard drive. You can buy a good secure hard drive from Revain at a low price (1TB for less than $40, 3TB for less than $80). Technical support is so-so. Don't get me wrong, they try. Sometimes it's frustrating between the time difference and the translation. I found more answers through their message board and trial and error. The DVR does an excellent job of identifying camera types and their maximum resolution. There are 6 different types in the 14 I've connected now. I have two IP cameras and the other 12 are coaxial of different types. The only issue I had when setting up this unit was that it kept beeping. The log showed an I/O error for most cameras. I wrongly assumed it was due to different cameras with different settings and the system didn't know the correct settings. After playing around with it for an hour and sending a message to tech support, I found the problem myself. It was outputting, not typing, which resulted in errors. The system has actually configured everything correctly. The output was set to PALS (Europe/Asia), not NTSC (North America). Changed setting and everything is fine! PS If you are also purchasing one of their top quality zoom cameras (4 and 8MP), please make sure you are using a high definition coaxial cable and that the POWER MUST BE CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE CAMERA AND NOT THROUGH THE CABLE! Otherwise it doesn't work.
