It's pretty but doesn't last

I'm doing a Christmas craft project for my family and bought this ink to print on fabric. I'm not even halfway through my project and I'm running out of ink. If you don't use enough ink it won't hold up even after washing (test beforehand) so you'll need a good dark stamp for best results. I think this price is too high for so little ink and it takes so much to get a print that really stays after washing. I can't finish my Christmas presents now and am very disappointed. Conversely, I have an ink pad that is half the size, I've had it for a few years now and it's still holding up. I don't use it much, but I've certainly used it more than this Veracraft in two years. But it's not cloth ink. I'm willing to pay extra for fabric ink but can't even handle a project? I never thought in a million years that this ink pad would run out so quickly. I'm also concerned that the prints I received aren't dark enough. I have attached a picture of the project. I don't think it's that much ink. I wanted to do about 30 of these, but I only made about 20 of them. It's kind of a misrepresentation because I have to change brands one by one, so I have 30 half-finished tissues and 20 almost finished tissues. I'm no expert on ink stamps, but $12 worth of ink isn't enough. At least walk me through one project. Now I have to wait for the supplies, which won't arrive here until after Christmas. Not much joy.

Pros
  • Prewash fabric/garment recommended for best results
Cons
  • A few little things
