Good: The balls are very bright - 8 minutes as advertised. Bad: As you have already read. They go out after 8 minutes - period. Hitting a flaming ball does not reset the timer. You have to wait for the light to turn off to turn it back on. Strategy: Have two balls and a timer/stopwatch. Hit the ball and start the timer. If you can get to your ball and have enough time to hit it and get to it, great! If not, put it in your pocket and then "activate" the second ball (and a new timer) which will give you another 8 minutes. When you start playing the next hole, activate the first ball and so on. On a par 3, you'll likely need one ball, while on a par 5, you might need two. You get the gist.
