Cold Air Intake Kits come with a duct that draws cooler outside air to the filter and keeps hotter air from the engine compartment out of the filter. Contrary to the description and photos, there is no air duct in the kit. After installation and a short test drive I checked the filter, it was very hot, probably drawing air from the engine compartment. Installed on my '95 4Runner which I found out has a stock cold air intake. If I can't just get the channel working, I'll take it off and send it back. Then I replace it with a K&N filter that fits in the storage box, $70 vs $329! A lot of work and $$ for little profit, if any. The installation went well. The writing style is pretty good, the pictures are a little confusing, but it's obvious once you get into it.
