Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Belkin Power Strip Surge Protector - 12 AC Multiple Outlets with 8 ft Long Flat Plug Extension Cord for Home, Office, Travel, Computer Desktop, Laptop, and Phone Charging Brick (3,940 Joules) by Devon Holmes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One has to wonder if they are being overwhelmed by the people who are burning them.

One has to wonder if they'll be overloaded by the people who burn them. For example, a heater for a small room. ok, I'll let Consumer Reports tell you > The electric heaters tested by Consumer Reports use 1500 watts for full power. With an output bandwidth of 1800W of maximum power, which is typical for a 15 amp device, this means you can only connect a limited number of additional devices, hopefully using very little power when you do so. I used a slightly cheaper model of this version from Belkin that isn't as much in the Joule rating and has been working fine since December 2017. I mention this because I was put off by the photos of burnt holes. I plug a lot of things into mine and never have a problem, but of course it's a standard 46" TV or my 56" stereo etc etc and they work without a whisper. I have several heaters in my house for emergencies, and I usually just plug them directly into the wall with their own circuit. Heaters are cheap and the risk of being struck by lightning is small, but not a big risk given the price. I'm not an electrician, but that's my two cents. I just bought two of these for just a few dollars more than another exactly the same. It has several hundred joules more in its rating, about 4k instead of 3900. It works well. If anything goes wrong I'll report back to update my review.
