Review on ASTRO Gaming A20 Gen 2 Wireless Headset: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC & Mac - White/Blue by Michelle Miller

Unsupported Headset Item

First only the latest installation instructions are taken from the Revain test. There was nothing resembling a purchased version of the product on either the Astro website or the Youtube channel. Normally I would say that the headset is not that difficult to install, but it comes with a USB transmitter that has two modes: console or PC. The button that toggles between them is labeled "Multifunction Button", for example how do I know it toggles between modes? The only indication that the device is in any mode is the blue or white LED on the USB dongle. As you know which color corresponds to which mode, read the mentioned Revain review as the website doesn't say anything. I finally got it installed and my goodness the mic is sensitive like it picks up breath and keyboard types and I don't breathe through my mouth and I have a soft non-mechanical keyboard. It also turned on randomly when it was quiet, which you can tell by the sudden surge of static electricity through the speakers. So I thought lets download the software so I can edit my mic settings which I did but the software can't detect the device says it needs to switch to PC mode guess I'm in PC mode Mode. There are two versions, one says it's compatible with the A20, I've tried both as it doesn't seem like Astro paid much attention to detail, neither worked. I thought, well, I guess I'll tease my teammates, but the final straw was that USB dongle I was talking about, which I plugged into my only open port on the back of my PC, every time I restarted the pc, guess what the heck shows up in console mode! So I would have to reach out and press the button EVERY TIME. So in general the sound quality is ok, but it's just not easy to use, it's definitely not suitable for PC, maybe only for consoles. I returned them.
