Stanley Tape Measure is always of high quality. This replaced a heavy, used 30-40 year old Stanley strap that eventually broke and was submerged a few times and also contained sand and mud a few times. It was a hit. I'm not sure I like the plastic case so I'll keep the metal case from the old band and maybe change the case. I have one of those cheap rules too, and Stanley is way better. You can't go wrong with Stanley
