Oddly I bought this unit for a six year old boy. He was brought to tears when his mother insisted on trimming his nails very short. He assured that he was in pain. We talked about it and saw that it wasn't the nails that were the problem, it was the nasty dirt underneath. I gave him this tool and showed him how to use it and surprisingly he keeps it in his 'special box' and regularly (according to his mother) cleans his nails with it. Now she can trim his nails (with the awesome Seki clippers I gave her) without cutting them short enough to bring tears. Everything is peaceful again.
