Review on Salt Water Sun San Turquoise Toddler Boys' Shoes by David Bott

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Poor materials

This review concerns the dark brown models in particular. The sandals seem comfortable and my daughter loves them but we have only worn them intermittently for 1.5 months and they are already showing heavy signs of wear. The inner white suede part of the leather has separated from the dark brown outer part of the sandal in many places. Dark brown chunks came loose and the sandals broke, revealing the light/white part underneath. If they were $5 supermarket sandals I wouldn't mind, but now we bought her supermarket sandals. Last summer lasted longer than Saltwater. Eventually the soles wore out. The sole of the Salt Water sandals will last a long time, but anything taller probably won't last even a summer. Really cheap dark brown material. We bought a different color for our other child and it seems to hold up a little better but it's also a little less rough on the shoe. I do not recommend dark brown, other colors might be better, but I will not pay extra for saltwater sandals that have outlasted cheap sandals from any major retailer. Edit: After contacting the company, they sent us a brand new pair of dark brown sandals that are holding up much better (so far). Great quick customer service and it looks like there was a problem with the shoes we received previously.
