This is the simplest 2-shelf bookcase I've ever used (and I've used a lot over the years). Directions are sparse, but as long as you don't get lost walking into the house from the garage, you shouldn't have any problems with this device. All parts were present (note the two shelf version does not come with a wall anchor and is not required) and the screw holes matched perfectly. Assembly took about 4 minutes using a cordless drill to drive the screws, although a regular screwdriver will do just fine. I haven't seen a weight limit, but it seems strong enough to support any reasonable load (somewhere between a piece of paper and an elephant training platform depending on how you look at things - I'd say 20-30 pounds. on the shelf). but I also keep the lid off my face when I open the lemonade, so do with it what you will).
