Review on ☕ Coffee Maker by Brim by Gail Rogers

Abolished: Coffee, tea and espresso

I wanted a simple coffee maker that was easy to clean and worked great. I thought I found it in this machine that can baste without having to stand there and baste myself. Awesome, at least I thought so! It doesn't work really well with the Fill method. It doesn't get all the coffee grounds wet, when the first water starts to bloom, it lets about 10% of the coffee grounds through. When the water is then poured out for a proper pour, it still takes longer for the drained soil to become wet. There is no way to squeeze all the water out, even if I turn it upside down and tilt it on either side to allow both ends to drain. At first I didn't and couldn't believe how much water would come out (and she just sat in there the whole time!). It's like a mold trap and it's killing me. I didn't think the thickness of the glass carafe was an issue as it is too thin as some other reviewers thought. It appeared to be the same thickness as an ordinary coffee pot. In the end, this coffee machine went into the donation basket. Pros: Pretty good coffee in there, to flip the coffee filter so the water wets all of the ground coffee instead of wetting it - the temp of the finished coffee just wasn't that hot (somehow this changed after about 4 months and the coffee temp would were perfectly hot) - difficult to clean and the water does not drain completely (even if you turn it upside down to open the valve at the bottom of the water tank (see photo, there is still moisture in the machine and this after a full day Drain/ventilate and then upside down for 2 weeks of non-use)
