☕ Coffee Maker by Brim Review

My husband and I really liked this coffee maker as we prefer drip and pour coffee makers. After about 2 months, the carafe accidentally broke. As others have said you cannot get a replacement from the company. This is very disappointing as it is a beautiful car. We found another carafe, but the large plastic filter doesn't fit in the new carafe. Now we use a metal filter. According to many, this machine is not cheap, at least the company can offer spare parts.

From the start there was a strong smell of hot plastic/rubber not only in the machine but also in the coffee. I've run the vinegar/water solution several times to try and clean the plumbing and kettle but to no avail. I then bought a glass cone instead of the supplied plastic cone. This didn't help either. So I decided between this machine and the Bonavita drip machine. I chose this one based on the aesthetics and reviews that it makes delicious coffee. October 19th - I broke my carafe and considering another reviewer was denied a replacement I just tracked down an even better carafe which isn't that flimsy and around the edges the color matches and looks cute even with a pen. look for E: Vintage PYREX Glass Coffee Pot CARAFE Black Bee Pattern.
