I work with a dog for extra income and many owners are happy to arrange pre-booking appointments (I work through Rover.com). I only really use the gate if I have a dog currently living with me and a future reservation wanting to come by to meet me :) Rather than risk the dogs disliking each other or a dog behind the closed one bedroom door gets nervous I'll just go put a gate at the entrance to the corridor so everyone can see/hear/smell everyone else. Pretty easy to install/remove and when lifted they seem very solid (no one has tried or tested this yet lol).
