Review on Banks 51313 Monster Exhaust System: Unleash Your Vehicle's Power by Marc Stewart

I bought this a few days ago for my 02 Tj 4.0 5 speed and here is my review. First, the kit does not match the picture. The exhaust tip is not a lapel down but a large oval tip. I like it much better than in the photo. The exhaust pipe coming from the muffler is not solid, as in the picture, but in two parts. I personally didn't like that aspect. This is another connection that needs to be clamped. I had a hard time getting everything right. In the end, the exhaust pipe was too close to the rear shock absorber. It could be because I have a 4 inch rise or some other variable. Because it was so close to shock, I had to relieve myself with some heat and a 3-pound sled. What I did not like. The penultimate step in the instructions states that the joints must be stapled in addition to the clamps to prevent shifting. I used my tig welder to glue everything in place and I welded the tip with the clip provided. In general, the installation was not as easy as I thought. Now let's get to the sound! I love it. It has a nice deep tone when you turn it on and it just sounds great when you put it in. When the cruising speed is reached, it settles down to a pleasantly deep tone. If I had to do it all over again I would completely weld the entire exhaust section so I only have one connection to clamp and secure. If I knew that, the contact of the shock absorber and the exhaust pipe could be decisive for me.
