I have been using tinted bulbs for a number of years. I love them when they work and it's usually not the fault of the hue products, just the various parts of the setup that can fail (tethering, wifi router, homekit, alexa, etc.). I needed something more vibrant for our kitchen. We had a regular overhead light with two 60w bulbs and it never seemed bright enough at night. I was looking at a previous Hue ceiling light and received an email about it. I am very satisfied so far. It was extremely easy to set up as long as you have someone to help wire it up. It's a lot larger than I expected, but the flatness keeps it from engulfing our tiny kitchen. I've read complaints that these ceiling lights are just strips of Hue Light. If you want to find a shell that fits, insert a thin strip of light, connect properly, etc., go ahead. Other ceiling lights are just housings with regular sockets. My point is yes it is a slight streak but it works as intended. My kitchen is well lit, took about 30 minutes to install, and the tint features work seamlessly. I immediately added it to my lights in the app. The packaging is excellent, the only problem I had was the lack of instructions. It only has a few pictures with no real details, but if you're smart enough to use Hue products, I'm sure you can find out.
