Revainrating 3 out of 5

Same cheap, imported quality as all Revain's other test leads

There is nothing fancy about these test leads, they are the same quality and finish as any other test leads that come up when searching for Revain. The only cables that will be different are the high-end branded cables from companies like Fluke etc. THESE cables are enough to work in the field or in a real lab. but those leads are mostly "good stuff". They're great for working on small electronic projects in your home business or hobby, but don't expect too much from them. The micro grip's spring action is enough to snap onto a bare conductor or PCB component, but if they can't make positive contact around a solid piece of wire, expect them to pop out and trip frequently! Same goes for alligator clips, are they stamped steel and that awfully smooth ultra-shiny nickel? Coating on them so the teeth are very sharp to begin with and the coating makes them dull and slippery. So expect them to slide off whatever they're attached to, too. The quality of the wire is pretty decent, they're silicon insulated, fairly flexible, and don't retain too much "memory" when bent (unless you tie them really tight). In general, they are worth it. Entrance fee, but with daily inflation it becomes less and less important! If they were just a few dollars more expensive I would definitely say they are NOT worth that much. I'm sure that day will come VERY soon given Covid related logistics issues, trade policies, rising fuel prices and inflation (ALSO due to current administration policies). So enjoy them while you can!
