These are so great you will want to make the space on your counter for them. My mom comments that I have too much stuff sometimes on my countertop – these knives are one of the few things I am willing to stand up for and say they deserve the counterspace (along with my coffee maker, and blender). The block on it’s own is kind of the standard size you would expect from a set of knives that comes in a block. But with the added sharpener piece, this block grows quite a bit. It’s worth it though. It does look good. The knives are great though – and it is really the handiest thing to have the sharpener attached. It will be quite awhile before I have to use it actually sharpen but I did run the blades through it to check ease of use. I was not disappointed at all. The knives glad through as they should to create a perfectly sharpened knife. The set of knives covers basically everything I need as a pretty simple kitchen cooker. The steak knives included really round out your total package here.
