I bought 3 of these to fit my 1lb home baked loaves (from a standard medium sized loaf pan) but the measurements are for external dimensions including ledges. We're talking about a container that actually measures 4 inches by 6-3/4 inches (bottom) and is 4 inches high. It is too small for bread larger than 4-1/2" x 4". -1/2" by 8-1/4" long. Surprised, they no longer look at what kinds of things people keep and compare them. I used to have a Rubbermaid container that was the perfect size, but the lid broke and it was discontinued. The bread bins they make now are for long loaves of Wonder Bread and they take up too much room in my freezer. I was hoping for a better fit. Physically, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product. They just don't fit my purpose. One star deducted for not correctly specifying the cabin size.
