I bought this Simthread Brother 40 Colors 40 Weight Polyester Embroidery Machine Thread Set 550Y (500M) Spools and am really impressed with the colours, packaging and thread quality. As a hobby I do a lot of machine embroidery with Husqvarna Viking Diamond, Viking Jade 35 and Brother PE770 machines and have tried several brands of embroidery thread over the past 20 years and this thread works great on all three machines. Two things. I always do and recommend with ANY home embroidery machine and embroidery floss: * Always use bobbin thread and no embroidery floss in your bobbins. Personally I prefer the white or black ThreadArt threads sold here at Revain. This is the best bobbin thread I have ever used because it is very similar to the underwear thread I have used for bobbin thread. * Never embroider at the full speed of your machine, especially if you frequently encounter thread or needle breakage and unfolding. Always slow down a level or two if you can. - With so many variables in machine embroidery using fabric, stabilizer, thread, needle, machine brand, tension settings, embroidery design density, etc., there is always the possibility of accidental thread or needle breakage. I've found that thread and needle are less likely to break or get stuck when machines aren't running at full speed all the time. It also makes it a lot easier to stop the machine before it goes too far if the thread or needle breaks, giving you a better chance of coming back to repeat stitches. Another tip: There are some other good embroidery floss kits here. on Revain there are also good values to consider. This set is one of them
