First, the quality of these products is excellent. I was a bit concerned that the gloves are plastic but they work really well. The thermometer is probably my favorite item in this pack. I can check the temperature of the meat, I can view the hottest and coldest recorded temperatures on a single "stick," and there's a very handy "hold" button so I don't have to poke my head over the grill and possibly catch mine Hair. on fire checking the temperature on a thermometer. Claws are great, and yes I know they're meant to be used for separating meat, but they're also great for flipping large chunks of grilled meat. Gloves. I thought the plastic material wasn't a problem, but these gloves are a bit small. I can use it but my husband can't. They're not very flexible either, so if you're expecting individual fingers to move while wearing them, you won't. They are designed solely for grabbing large hot items and moving those items to another location. For example, I found it difficult to use gloves and hold a barbecue fork. The handle is very comfortable when I had a large plate of ribs and carried it inside, it didn't slip and the gloves worked great.
