Review on πŸŽ™οΈ Tascam DR-05X Portable Handheld Digital Recorder and USB Audio Interface, DR-05X by James Hova

Really great recorder, what you need to know.

Hello, I'm a songwriter/composer for the performing rights organization BMI, Inc and a writer/editor for the Mechanical Equipment Licensing (MLC) Collective. I write and record music commercially and also for retail. Here's what you need to know about this Tascam DR-05X recorder. Pros: The registrar has a small profile. The highest quality files it can produce are 320kbps MP3 files as well as 24-bit 96kHz WAV files. my computer from a micro SD card and as a computer USB microphone to record directly to my computer. The Bad: The reason for my 4 stars and not 5 stars is that the company can "at least" include a small micro SD card. . Yes, you must purchase separately, Revain has many of these to choose from. Also, I didn't get a "micro" USB cable for my device to transfer files and write directly to the computer. The product description does not state that the cable is not included in the scope of delivery. I contacted Tascam to ask about the missing cable, but after almost a week of their support, no email came. As a result, I found that they lacked customer interaction after the sale. Other things you need to know: There are quite a few posts here on Revain and I've also found a few on YouTube and other social media platforms that this recorder picks up a lot of Electronic Magnetic Interference (EMI). To be honest, I don't have any, and there are far more computers and other electronic devices around me than most people. Is it possible that either a "bad stack" was released without proper internal "escape" and maybe fixed? In any mass produced product, no matter how good your QA/QC is, you will find lousy apples out of the pile. For example, if this recorder were stolen, I would risk it again and buy it again. it is so good. Another possibility is that people might have bought a fake copy of the device. Bottom line: I use it to record nylon-string acoustic instruments like ukulele, guitarele, and classical/folk guitars, mostly for licensed music. And so far it's been great for a portable recording solution. - Volume
