Firstly, yes the other reviewers are right about that: i.) The water and mildew resistance claims are for the box itself. They are NOT "sealed" and therefore there is no way to extend this statement to the comics. However, conventional boxes are also not sealed, so there is no waste here. ii.) It would be great if the company made some sort of label holder/etc. could provide to help with the organization. Adding your own isn't too difficult, but convenience is always nice. Same thing, none of these factors should stop you from buying them. They look MUCH better than regular boxes and while they may not be as strong as some of the double wall boxes, they're certainly strong enough (much, MUCH stronger than some of the other "magazine holders" I've tried in the past) . ). Especially when you live with someone in the same house who doesn't *appreciate* your collection the way you do, stacks of it seem to be a lot more valuable. :) While I do want to stress that I *STRONGLY* recommend them (I'll never buy cardboard again while they're still available), there are a few other semi-negatives to note: 1. They're *just* big enough to to fit in modern models with pockets and borders. Flat comics or dividers will not fit in a closed lid.2. While they're stackable (I'm comfortable stacking 3 high), they suffer from the same problem as "lid" boxes - you can't hit them if another one is on top. The ONE really great thing about cardboard is when you invest the extra cash in "sleeves" that let you slide entire drawers in and out. You could probably also create an improvised version of this here with extremely basic joinery or slightly modified Ikea-style shelving (and probably end up for the same price as cardboard), but that's a factor to consider when stacking. If you don't mind that extra work or if your collection is so small that you can't stack 20 boxes, this is a really great option that gives you a perfectly working product that is EXTREMELY easy to set up and looks attractive enough. to match your home décor and at a price just a chip below the best offerings of the traditional cardboard standard. Given all of this, it's very easy to overlook its few shortcomings.
