I was hesitant to buy something this expensive when it's obvious that plastic alternatives are a lot cheaper, but I really wanted to avoid plastic and thought it looked good. But that's garbage quality. The first thing I noticed was the large gaps where the varnish/gloss was applied. It was like an idiot literally holding it in his hands, applying glitter polish and just not bothering to apply polish where his fingers were. Both are like this at both ends (narrow sides). Or it looks like someone scraped the shiny part off the ends with sandpaper. Looks like crap. Also, the bar of soap sticks to the (cheap, thin) wood and it's very difficult to separate the wood from the soap. So the tree just floats up with the soap when you try to lift the soap.
