Good deal for DIY

What I need Use one Torque wrench if you are replacing a Shimano RS500 bottom bracket with a Shimano BBR60 when I upgraded my Hollowtech II crankset and at a better price than Park Tool. It's a rarely used item for me, so if you do a lot of BB jobs then it's probably worth spending more. For the rest of us it works and the quality is consistent, it seems like it can handle a lot more torque than you'd ever use on a BB. You just have to be careful not to leave it in conditions where it can rust. I found the adapter that came with the Shimano BBR60 to be a very, very snug fit. Since it fits perfectly on the RS500 bottom bracket I consider it an adapter and not a tool. I used a rubber mallet to gently tap the adapter with this tool and easily torqued the BBR60 to spec. As always, take your time and don't be aggressive with him. I preferred buying this head plus the $5 Hollowtech preload tool rather than buying a park hand tool with a built in BB wrench and preload piece because with this option you can use a torque wrench to get the job done right .

Pros
  • COMPATIBILITY - works with Shimano Hollowtech II, Truvativ GXP, FSA Mega Expo, Campagnolo Ultra-Torque, Campagnolo Power Torque, Token, Fulcrum Chris King, Phil Wood and other external bottom bracket bearings
